Do you dwell on your losses or the blessings that the Lord has set before you? The Saints had to leave the Kirtland Temple and their homes behind and the Church’s largest stake at the time. There was opposition from without and from within. The three witnesses turned against Joseph, and so had four of the apostles, and some of the Seventy. The faithful saints started to build again in Far west and made plans for a new temple. What can we learn from that when we experience losses in our own lives? Four remarkable men were called to be the new apostles (see D&C 118:6): John Taylor, John E. Page, Wilford Woodruff, and Willard Richards.
